Natchitoches Soil & Water Conservation District

Natchitoches SWCD was the first conservation district in Louisiana to partner with USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) to implement aerial gunning for feral swine control. Aerial gunning has been conducted in Natchitoches Parish by the Natchitoches SWCD since 2014, where approximately 5,514 feral swine have been removed with 292 removed in 2022.  The District averaged approximately 56,000 acres per year enrolled in the program.  The district usually signs up participants for aerial gunning in November and December and gunning begins January or February.  Click the button below (aerial gunning forms) to print your forms to participate in the program.
